The Danish American Society in New York is excited to announce a charity auction at www.BiddingForGood.com . The auction proceeds are needed for Danish American Society to secure the long term health of the “Danish American National Cultural Exchange” (D.A.N.C.E) fund and program.
The Danish American Society was formed by leaders of the Danish community of New York in 1959 in preparation for the forthcoming royal visit of King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid. By the mid-80s the leaders recognized the need for a specific part (D.A.N.C.E.) to provide for a scholarship program. Today – another 30 years hence - legislative changes call for structural changes again.
With your generous bidding you will show your support for the arts. Your bidding will also enable us to continue the wonderful artistic programs that have delighted Danes and Americans for almost 60 years.
Beyond bidding at the auction donations are also accepted. Any amount to help the arts is appreciated.
For on-line payment please use our website www.DanishAmericanSocietyUSA.org under DONATION. Checks should be issued to Danish American Society, Inc. and sent to address below.
